We operate Maia: Meltdown and related websites and services (collectively, the "Service"). As the data controller, Wildwind is responsible for how your personal information is collected, used, stored, and protected. Data Protection Officer (DPO)
We have designated a Data Protection Officer for GDPR compliance. EEA and UK residents may contact the DPO at admin_EN@wildwindstudio.com (subject line: "DPO Enquiry"). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority — in the EU/EEA, your national data protection authority; in Japan, the Personal Information Protection Commission (PPC).

Wildwind uses automated processing in the following limited circumstances:
Anti-cheat systems that automatically flag or restrict accounts where cheating is detected
Personalised advertising based on browsing behaviour, where you have consented to marketing cookies
Where automated processing significantly affects you (e.g. an account ban), you have the right under GDPR Article 22 to: (a) request human review; (b) express your point of view; and (c) contest the decision. We use cookies and similar technologies on our website and within the Service. Cookie consent is managed through a Consent Management Platform (CMP) shown on your first visit. We do not sell your personal information. We may share it only in the following circumstances:
Service providers — cloud hosting, payment processing, analytics, and customer support vendors, bound by data processing agreements
Platform partners — Steam, Epic Games Store, and similar platforms, to the extent necessary to deliver the Service
Anti-cheat vendors — solely for detecting cheating, hacking, or exploitation
Legal authorities — where required by applicable law, court order, or to protect our legitimate interests
Corporate transactions and group restructuring — in connection with a merger, acquisition, asset sale, corporate reorganisation, or transfer of operations to an affiliated entity within the Wildwind group, where required by applicable law
Wildwind is headquartered in Japan. Data may be processed in Japan, the United States, or other countries where our service providers are located. Wildwind's affiliated and successor entities within the Wildwind group may also process your data as part of our business operations. For transfers of personal data from the EEA or UK, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission, or other applicable transfer mechanisms. For transfers from Japan, we comply with the requirements of the APPI regarding cross-border provision of personal information.

9.1 EEA and UK Residents (GDPR / UK GDPR)
You have the right to: access your personal data; correct inaccuracies; erasure ("right to be forgotten"); restrict or object to processing; data portability; withdraw consent at any time; and not be subject to solely automated decisions with significant legal effect (see Section 4).
We will respond to verified rights requests within one (1) calendar month as required by GDPR Article 12. In complex or high-volume cases, this may be extended by a further two months, with notice to you.
9.2 California Residents (CCPA / CPRA)
You have the right to: know what personal information we collect and how it is used; request deletion; correct inaccurate information; opt out of the sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising; and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
We will respond within 45 calendar days. Submit requests to admin_EN@wildwindstudio.com (subject line: "CCPA Request").
9.3 Japan Residents (APPI)
You have the right to request disclosure, correction, addition, or deletion of your retained personal data, as well as suspension of use or erasure. We will respond without undue delay. Submit requests to admin_EN@wildwindstudio.com.
In the event of a personal data breach, Wildwind will:
Notify the relevant supervisory authority within 72 hours of becoming aware, where required by GDPR
Notify the Personal Information Protection Commission (PPC) and affected individuals in accordance with APPI Article 26 where the breach meets the statutory reporting threshold
Notify affected users without undue delay where the breach is likely to result in a high risk to their rights and freedoms
Breach notifications will include: the nature of the breach, the categories of data affected, likely consequences, and the measures taken or proposed to address the breach.
The Service is intended for users who meet the minimum age required by applicable law in their jurisdiction. As a general reference:

Where parental consent is required, a user who registers represents that their parent or legal guardian has reviewed and consented to this Policy. Wildwind may request evidence of consent and may suspend or terminate accounts where consent cannot be verified. If we discover that we have collected data from a user below the applicable minimum age, we will promptly delete that data and terminate the account.
We implement industry-standard technical and organisational security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), access controls, and regular security assessments. No internet transmission or storage system is entirely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.
The Service may integrate with or link to third-party platforms such as Steam. This Policy does not govern those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before linking your accounts. Where we distribute the Service through platform stores, the platform operator's subscriber agreement applies in addition to this Policy.
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via in-game notice or email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
